  • Very useful for Guided Reading!  Although there have been comments below about how AFs should not be used any longer, our school has made the decision to keep an AF-style system, but adapt it so that the new curriculum Content Domains fit within it.  So for us, labelling this resource with AF1, AF2, and so forth, is still incredibly relevant.  Thank you!

  • Is it possible to get these in a black and white version as we have colour coded our questions differently and this muddles our children up?

  • Great resource - especially for higher attaining pupils, as they could use this to create their own questions and really apply each of the AF points. To further enable full understanding of AF points could the mats have what each of the AF points stand for on them?

Each of the mats in this fantastic set features a range of question prompts suitable for each of the reading assessment focuses (2-6). Great for guiding reading assessment and for encouraging understanding and evaluation of different texts.
